Or pick up the phone and call Harry to receive this weekend’s other Belmont winners for only $99.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year’s Belmont Stakes has a number of different angles. This is usually the third jewel on the Triple Crown scheduled, but this year it’s the first.

Also, the race distance has been shortened from 1 1/2 miles to 1 1/8 miles, and since there is only one turn on the track about five furlongs into the race, post positions isn’t as nearly as important as it usually is when we handicap horse racing. Having said all of that, we’re not worried too much about some of the historical trends for this year’s Belmont. While the race will still be run at Belmont Park, the circumstances are completely unique.

Below are our predictions for win, place and show for Saturday’s race. If you would like to know how we’re playing them and which long shot horse we are going to throw into the mix for a potential huge pay day, call Harry right now at 1-877-332-0077.

Post time for the Belmont Stakes is 5:42 p.m. ET and it will be Race 10 on Saturday.

WIN:

No. 8 – Tiz the Law (6-to-5)

The favorite at the Belmont Stakes has prevailed just twice since 2005, but as mentioned above we’re throwing trends like that out the window this year. Besides, if you saw Tiz the Law’s performance at The Florida Derby back in March, you know why he’s the prohibitive favorite on Saturday. Watch the race below and see Tiz the Law absolutely toy with the field and win at a similar price (7-to-5):

Jockey Manny Franco has compared riding this horse to driving a car, saying he can accelerate and decelerate with ease. This is Franco’s first Belmont Stakes, but he’s most definitely familiar with the track, having consistently ranked near the top of the rider standings at Belmont for the last five years. We’ll call for Tiz the Law to win his third race in a row on Saturday.

PLACE:

No. 1 – Tap It To Win (6-to-1)

Speaking of jockeys, Tap It To Win will be ridden by Hall of Famer John Velazquez on Saturday and for that reason alone we’re going to be using the No. 1 horse prominently. Velazquez has won this race twice and this will be his 24th-career Belmont Stakes, the most of any other jockey, by far. As for the trainer, Mark Casse  won both the Preakness Stakes (War of Will) and the Belmont (Sir Winston) last year, so between the trainer and jockey this horse is certainly set up for success. The No. 1 post won’t affect Tap It To Win at all since, as mentioned above, the first turn is five furlongs into the race, and because this is a speed horse, look for Tap It To Win to jump out ahead and maintain the pace through the wire.

SHOW:

No. 9 – Dr. Post – 5-to-1

Ten of the last 13 Belmont winners had a trainer and/or jockey based in New York. That bodes well for the Good Doctor, who calls Belmont Park his home track. Jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. has been a leading rider in the New York Thoroughbred horse racing circuit for more than eight years. Oh, and trainer Todd Pletcher is not only based in Elmont, NY, but has won the Belmont Stakes three times.  Dr. Post won both of his starts this spring as a 3-year-old, but what put us over the top with this horse was the workout he had at Belmont earlier this week. One of our “bird dogs” at the track was blown away by four furlong jaunt, enough so that we won’t be surprised if Pletcher earns Belmont victory No. 4 on Saturday.
